Core Assembler

At American Castings Co., we are seeking a skilled Core Assembler to join our team. As a key member of our core department, you will be responsible for operating mixers, packing sand, and moving core boxes. Your attention to detail and ability to work safely will ensure the highest quality cores for our customers.

• Operate mixers to fill core boxes
• Pack sand with hands or use power tools
• Move core boxes by hand or with a hoist
• Fin, patch, repair, and inspect cores
• Apply coatings to cores as needed
• Operate hydraulic rebar cutter/bender and bench grinder as needed
• Work from specifications and instructions
• Operate core oven to bake cores
• Perform core wash procedures
• Check levels on binder
• Run Laempe and Core Machines when needed
• Operate a forklift as needed

• Ability to work safely and follow safety protocols
• Attention to detail and ability to work accurately
• Ability to lift and move heavy objects
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
