We are seeking a skilled Core Assembler to join our team at American Castings Co. This role involves operating mixers, packing sand, and moving core boxes to ensure the production of high-quality iron castings.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate mixer to fill core boxes
• Pack sand with hands or use power tools
• Move core boxes by hand or with a hoist
• Fin, patch, repair, and inspect cores
• Apply coatings and paint as needed
• Operate hydraulic rebar cutter/bender and bench grinder
• Work from specifications and instructions
• Perform core wash procedures and maintain records

Requirements:

• Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment
• Strong attention to detail and quality control skills
• Ability to lift and move heavy core boxes
• Basic math skills and ability to follow instructions
