About the Role:
As a Hospice Registered Nurse with Interim HealthCare Staffing, you will have the opportunity to make a real impact in the lives of patients and their families. We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate RN to join our team and provide high-quality care to patients with six months or less to live.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide home-based care to patients, focusing on quality of life and comfort.
- Work as part of an interdisciplinary team to carry out the patient's plan of care.
- Perform patient assessments, check vitals, evaluate breathing, monitor pain, and administer prescribed medication and treatments.
- Ensure accessibility of medical equipment, prescribed oxygen, medication, and other supplies.
- Educate family members on the patient's prognosis, changes in care plan, medication, and hospice goals.
- Take a holistic approach to care that engages the patient's mind, body, spirit, and family.
Requirements:
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program and active RN license in SC or Compact License.
- Minimum of 5 years of nursing experience.
- Must have 2 years of hospice experience.
- CPR certification.
- Knowledge of state and federal home health regulations.
- Clinical proficiency in nursing specialty, strong communication skills, and compassion.
