Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with government officials and technical personnel to refine systems and program specifications;
  • Offer leadership to junior staff and provide insights on system development, enhancements, optimization, or support initiatives;
  • Conduct risk evaluations and analyses utilizing modeling and simulation methodologies;
  • Oversee the creation, modification, and maintenance of essential systems engineering documentation, including Information Support Plans and Systems Engineering Plans;
  • Facilitate and support Engineering Integrated Product Teams;
  • Analyze all aspects of the total system product lifecycle, from concept to disposal;
  • Assess alternatives based on cost, risk, and supportability for comprehensive systems and component solutions;
  • Evaluate the quality and feasibility of current solution architectures and design integrity;
  • Assist in the assessment of technologies and innovative products;
  • Conduct trade studies based on system functionality requirements;
  • Evaluate the performance and effectiveness of proposed designs against established thresholds and objectives, providing detailed technical reports on findings;
  • Translate client requirements into precise hardware/software specifications.
Qualifications

Essential Skills:

  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Engineering or a related technical field, with over 20 years of practical interdisciplinary engineering experience;
  • Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively within small teams to achieve project deadlines;
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, MS Word, MS PowerPoint, and SharePoint;
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Specialized Skills:

  • In-depth knowledge of the relevant engineering, scientific, or technical discipline;
  • Technical expertise in the specific program, platform, or initiative;
  • Familiarity with automated engineering tools and enterprise management systems pertinent to the program.
