About the Role:

We are seeking a seasoned Trusts & Estates Associate to join our dynamic team at Jobot. As a key member of our Private Clients Group, you will provide comprehensive legal services to our clients, including trust and estate planning, administration, and representation before tax authorities.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide expert legal advice in trust and estate planning, administration, and representation before tax authorities.
  • Draft and review a wide variety of estate planning documents, including wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and healthcare directives.
  • Administer trusts and estates, including probate proceedings, trust terminations, and distributions.
  • Represent clients before tax authorities and in probate and surrogate court proceedings.
  • Collaborate with tax professionals to develop tax-efficient estate plans.
  • Stay updated with the latest laws, regulations, and trends in trusts, estates, and taxation to provide the most accurate advice to clients.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, demonstrating a clear understanding of their objectives, and exceeding their service expectations.
Requirements:
  • A Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • An LLM in Taxation is preferred but not required.
  • Admission to the Bar of Florida.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in trusts and estates law.
  • A proven track record in administering trusts and estates, with strong knowledge of federal and state tax laws related to trusts and estates.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • A high level of professionalism and a commitment to client service.
