Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Enforce all city and state laws, ordinances, and regulations to ensure public safety and order.
  • Patrol assigned areas, including city streets, parks, and neighborhoods, to prevent crime and promote security.
  • Investigate reported crimes, interview witnesses and suspects, and gather evidence to solve cases.
  • Respond to emergency calls, provide assistance, and mediate disputes.
  • Collaborate with other law enforcement agencies and departments to share intelligence and best practices.
  • Participate in community outreach and education programs to build trust and promote public safety.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Georgia Peace Officer Standards and Training (POST) Certification preferred.
  • Valid Georgia driver's license required.
  • Must be at least 20 years of age and a U.S. citizen or resident.
  • Must pass a background investigation, drug screening, and psychological evaluation.
