Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Underwriting Assistant to join our team at AmTrust Financial Services. As an Underwriting Assistant, you will play a critical role in supporting our underwriting team by providing excellent customer service, processing endorsements, and assisting with underwriting new submissions and renewals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional customer service to producers and home office personnel, responding to inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Secure underwriting information as requested and prepare general business letters, emails, and correspondence.
  • Process endorsements, premium audits, and other transactions as directed by underwriters.
  • Assist in training co-workers as needed and perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Requirements
  • High School diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required; Bachelor's degree or insurance-related designation preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in business, preferably in the insurance industry.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to multitask under pressure.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with producers and home office personnel.
