Position Title: Clinical Nursing Educator
Job Overview: The Clinical Nursing Educator plays a vital role in delivering high-quality education within the Associate Degree Nursing program. This position is subject to a criminal background check and requires candidates to reside in Oklahoma or Texas. Responsibilities:
- Deliver clinical instruction with a focus on medical-surgical nursing content, competencies, and skills.
- Collaborate effectively with fellow faculty and students to design, implement, and assess course materials.
- Facilitate engaging learning experiences that meet course objectives.
- Provide academic advising and participate in committee work and professional development activities.
- Travel to various clinical sites within the service area as required.
Qualifications:
Education: A Master's degree in Nursing is preferred, or a Bachelor's degree with a Master's in another field plus six graduate hours in nursing. Consideration will be given to candidates with a BSN and six hours towards a Master's degree along with three years of recent clinical experience. A valid RN license in Texas is mandatory.
Skills and Abilities:
- Commitment to the educational philosophy of North Central Texas College and the Associate Degree Nursing Program.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Strong student-centered approach with the capability to meet deadlines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Capacity to foster a conducive learning environment in both lecture and lab settings.
Experience:
A minimum of 3 to 5 years of relevant experience is required, with a preference for candidates who have community college teaching or clinical experience.
