The Telephone Triage Registered Nurse is a remote position responsible for providing high-quality patient care through effective telephone triage. This role requires strong communication and problem-solving skills to ensure accurate and timely decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide telephone triage services to patients, utilizing clinical judgment and expertise to assess and manage patient needs.
- Document all patient interactions and maintain accurate records, adhering to regulatory and policy requirements.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams, including delegating nurses, management, and pharmacy personnel, to ensure seamless patient care.
- Stay up-to-date with current policies, regulations, and medical records, utilizing resources to ensure patient safety and quality care.
- Complete online HRSTs as needed and participate in regular nurse and staff meetings.
Requirements:
- Current/valid Maryland RN license or multistate compact license.
- Experience in developmental disabilities environment highly desired.
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Quick learner, problem-solver, and strong decision-making skills.
- Ability to work well independently and as part of a team.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to sit and look at a computer for multiple hours during a scheduled workday.
- Ability to type on a computer keyboard and utilize a computer mouse for hours at a time.
License/Certifications:
- RN License
- CPR
- RN CM/DN certification
- Online HRST Rater Training, Online Advanced Rater Training, and Online HRST Reviewer Training
