Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Certified Nursing Assistant to join our team at Patient First. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care and support to our patients and staff.

Responsibilities
  • Locate patients, obtain accurate vital signs, and triage patients as needed.
  • Assess patients' medical condition and prepare them for physicals and medical treatment.
  • Understand and use the electronic medical record system.
  • Order lab, x-ray, and medical supplies as directed.
  • Notify the Nurse and/or Physician when the patient is ready for exam.
  • Assist Nurses and Physicians with various forms of patient treatment and care.
  • Handle Physician and Nurse requests with respect and in a timely manner.
  • Perform lab duties, phlebotomy procedures, and sterilize instruments as assigned.
  • Receiving and storing supplies, restocking treatment rooms, and maintaining cleanliness of the treatment area.
  • Report to the Charge Nurse before leaving at the end of the shift.
  • Follow ancillary guidelines and adhere to established policies and procedures.
  • Maintain a positive and professional atmosphere and provide positive, warm, and friendly service in all interactions.
Requirements
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Minimum typing experience.
  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • Minimum of one year of clinical experience in a hospital or physician's office preferred.
  • Ability to hear pages, bells, and phone system.
  • Ability to sit, stand, and walk for long periods of time.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to attend scheduled CPR classes and code drills.
  • Ability to prioritize and multitask.
