Job Title: Laboratory Technician

Cambridge Technologies is seeking a skilled Laboratory Technician to join our team. As a Laboratory Technician, you will play a crucial role in providing technical support by performing various diagnostic testing in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in daily laboratory functions, ensuring a safe and productive work environment.
  • Conduct assigned assays according to company SOPs, maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Maintain laboratory supplies, reagents, and equipment, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency.
  • Interact with laboratory personnel and other departments within the company, fostering effective communication and collaboration.
  • Work in a safe and productive manner, adhering to established guidelines and good laboratory practices.
  • Accountable for complying with the company handbook and all policies set by the company and delegated authority.
Requirements:
  • Prior laboratory experience is preferred, but training will be provided to the right candidate.
  • The ideal candidate has an interest in biology, livestock agriculture, or health science fields.
Language Skills:

The successful candidate will possess excellent communication skills, including the ability to read and interpret documents, write routine reports, and speak effectively before groups.

Reasoning Ability:

The Laboratory Technician will demonstrate the ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions and deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Other Skills & Abilities:

The ideal candidate will possess attention to detail, strong communication skills, data collection and management skills, problem analysis and problem-solving skills, planning and organizing skills, judgment, decision-making skills, customer service orientation, and teamwork skills.

Physical Demands:

The Laboratory Technician will frequently stand, walk, sit, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, and talk or hear. Occasional lifting up to 25-40 pounds, with occasional lifting up to 60 pounds, may be required.

Work Environment:

The Laboratory Technician will work in a laboratory, research farm, and office setting, conducting experiments and analyzing results. Technicians and scientists working with biosafety level 2 organisms must follow appropriate safety procedures.
