About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our team in the Step Down Unit at a top healthcare facility in Spokane, Washington.

Job Summary

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in nursing with experience in step-down care. Responsibilities include assessing and monitoring patients' vital signs, administering medications, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide specialized nursing care to patients transitioning from intensive care to general medical-surgical units
  • Monitor and assess patients' vital signs, cardiac rhythms, and respiratory status in the step-down unit
  • Administer medications, perform procedures, and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care
  • Educate patients and families on post-intensive care recovery, medication management, and self-care techniques
  • Communicate effectively with healthcare team members to facilitate patient progress and optimize outcomes in the step-down unit

Requirements

  • Current RN license
  • BLS (Other certifications as required by facility)
  • Two years of recent Step Down experience
  • Strong communication and adaptability skills
