About the Role

As a Software Engineer III on the Android and Mobile team at Google, you will play a critical role in developing the next-generation technologies that change how billions of users connect, explore, and interact with information and one another.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and enhance software solutions for Google Play.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to shape product strategy and form great content partnerships.
  • Work on backend systems, engineering, and product development to enhance the Android ecosystem.
  • Manage project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables, and contribute to existing documentation and educational content.
  • Triage product or system issues, debug, track, and resolve by analyzing sources of issues and impact on hardware, network, or service operations and quality.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 2 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages, or 1 year of experience with an advanced degree in an industry setting.
  • 2 years of experience with data structures or algorithms in either an academic or industry setting.
  • 2 years of experience Android application development.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical field.
  • 2 years of experience with performance, large-scale systems data analysis, visualization tools, or debugging.
  • Experience developing accessible technologies.
  • Proficiency in code and system health, diagnosis, and resolution, and software test engineering.
