Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Cyber Security Operations Specialist to join our team at GDIT. As a Cyber Security Operations Specialist, you will be responsible for providing expert-level support for the detection, analysis, and response to cyber threats within a network environment or enclave.

Key Responsibilities
  • Threat Detection and Analysis
    • Utilize data collected from various cyber defense tools to analyze events and identify potential threats.
    • Interpret and analyze events and anomalies in accordance with computer network directives.
  • Cybersecurity Policy and Procedure Development
    • Evaluate, test, recommend, coordinate, monitor, and maintain cybersecurity policies, procedures, and systems.
    • Ensure that cybersecurity plans, controls, processes, standards, policies, and procedures are aligned with cybersecurity standards.
  • Security Risk Assessment and Compliance
    • Identify security risks and exposures, determine the causes of security violations, and suggest procedures to halt future incidents and improve security.
    • Develop techniques and procedures for conducting cybersecurity risk assessments and compliance audits.
  • Team Leadership and Collaboration
    • May coach and provide guidance to less experienced professionals.
    • May serve as a team or task lead.
Requirements
  • Technical Training, Certification(s) or Degree
  • 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity operations
  • Active TS/SCI Clearance
  • DoD M IAT Level II and CSSP Infrastructure Support certifications
Preferred Qualifications
  • Kibana Data Analytics
  • SIEM experience with ArcSight, Elasticsearch, Splunk, Event Broker, User Behavioral Analysis (UBA)
Work Environment

This position is located in the USA, VA, Springfield.

The salary range for this position is $60,549 - $101,109.
