Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Engagement: Use a consultative approach to understand customer needs and preferences, and provide personalized solutions to meet their financial goals.
  • Product Knowledge: Develop in-depth knowledge of our retail consumer and small business products and services, and effectively communicate their value proposition to customers.
  • Sales and Cross-Selling: Utilize approved marketing tools and strategies to proactively reach out to customers and set appointments for periodic financial reviews, and consistently meet/exceed customer experience and individual/team production goals.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Establish close working relationships with assigned business partners, and provide guidance to customer service representatives on sales and referral processes.
  • Risk Management: Maintain a position of trust and responsibility by keeping all business confidential, and adhere to established policies and procedures to mitigate fraudulent activity and unnecessary risk or exposure.
Requirements
  • Education: College degree or work experience providing transferrable skills, or a combination of education and experience.
  • Experience: Experience in the financial industry preferred, with demonstrated ability to develop comfort level with sales activities designed to acquire new consumer household and small business customers and/or cross-sell to established customers.
  • Skills: Ability to professionally represent Fifth Third Bank in terms of appearance and verbal/written communication, and demonstrated ability to develop a working knowledge of retail policies and procedures in order to utilize good judgment in making sound decisions.
Working Conditions
  • Work Environment: Normal office environment, with extended viewing of computer screens.
  • Travel: Ability to travel within the affiliate for training and scheduling flexibility, as well as occasional travel outside of the affiliate for classroom training sessions.
