KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Conduct assigned inspection tasks in alignment with Repair Station and manufacturer protocols to guarantee that components are upheld to the required standards of airworthiness and operational readiness for all scheduled activities.
  • Verify that the facilities, tools, materials, and documentation comply with the relevant requirements of the certifications and ratings held by the repair station.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in utilizing various inspection tools and visual aids pertinent to the items being evaluated.
  • Ensure that all inspections are executed as mandated for all scheduled maintenance, modifications, or component replacements to confirm that approved materials and equipment are employed, and that high-quality workmanship is achieved.
  • Confirm that all necessary tests and evaluations are conducted and recorded before returning the item to service.
  • Examine the maintenance records of the item, compile all pilot reports and deferred maintenance issues, and document all discrepancies found according to Repair Station protocols.
  • Oversee all inspection record forms utilized during evaluations to ensure the accurate completion of all entries.
  • Perform initial, in-process, and final inspections.
  • Ensure adherence to all regulatory and procedural requirements as stipulated by FAA, PMA, DCMA, and AS9100.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent, typically with 5 or more years of relevant experience.
  1. A higher-level degree may substitute for experience.
  2. Related experience may be considered in lieu of required education.
  • Current Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) certification.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of aircraft, systems, equipment, and components.
  • Experience and understanding of the practical application of product audit and inspection methodologies.
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel).

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Basic understanding of 14 CFR Chapter 1.
  • Familiarity with civil or government aviation inspection operations and/or FAA Repair Station processes.
  • Inspection Authorization (IA) Designation.
  • Experience in the Aerospace and Defense sector, including the US Department of Defense or US Military.
