**Job Summary**

As a Tool and Die Maker Machinist at Silgan Containers Mfg Corp, you will be responsible for working from blueprint, sketch, sample parts or verbal instructions to create precision tools and dies. You will use precision measuring instruments and Machinist's hand tools to obtain proper fits and scrape surfaces to re-align or rebuild machines.

Key Responsibilities**

Overhaul various machines and equipment, recommending and making all necessary repairs; making and replacing worn and/or broken parts and assemble as necessary for proper operation when this level of expertise is required for the job

Perform bench work such as filing, peening, fitting and polishing

Requirements**

High School Diploma or equivalent

One of the following; Technical Degree, Journeyman Status, or equivalent experience

A minimum of 2-5 years machinist experience in a manufacturing environment

Above average analytical and troubleshooting skills

Previous experience with the use of standard bolts, screws, threads and tapers

Physical Requirements**

Ability to safely lift up to 100 pounds.
