PACU Nurse Specialist

As a Registered Nurse in our Surgical Services department, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment. Under the supervision of the Team Leader and Director of Surgical Services, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and effective care of patients undergoing surgical procedures.
Key Responsibilities- Advocate for patients' rights, dignity, and privacy
- Provide emotional, psychological, and spiritual support to patients and their families
- Develop and implement individualized plans of care, including developmental and cultural needs
- Teach patients and their families about their conditions, medications, and self-care skills
- Utilize multidisciplinary team strategies to resolve patient problems and needs
- Protect patients from injury caused by chemical, electrical, positioning, heat, and extraneous objects
- Administer medications appropriately and manage patient specimens according to hospital policy
- Monitor and maintain patients' respiratory, circulatory, and neurologic function
- Provide effective pain management and maintain body systems, fluid, electrolyte, and acid-base balances
- NH RN License
- BLS and ACLS certification
- Current clinical skills within scope of practice
- Effective organizational and prioritization skills
- Positive bedside manner and applicable physio/social/spiritual knowledge related to patient care
