Job Summary:

The General Manager is a key leadership role at Qdoba Restaurant Corporation, responsible for overseeing the daily operations of a restaurant location. This individual will be responsible for ensuring exceptional customer service, managing store sales and profitability, and leading a team of employees to achieve business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Customer Service: Maintain fast, accurate service and provide excellent customer service, modeling restaurant hospitality.
  • Store Sales and Profitability: Maximize store sales goals versus budget, including participation in marketing programs.
  • Catering Sales: Oversee and partner on increasing catering sales.
  • Food Safety and Quality: Train, monitor, and reinforce food safety procedures.
  • Leadership and Team Management: Work with the leadership team to meet sales goals, manage food and labor costs, and execute company policies and procedures.
  • Inventory Management: Monitor food inventory levels and order product when necessary.
  • Employee Management: Manage and maintain safe working conditions, manage crew member employees in a manner that encourages them to grow with the company and reduce turnover, interview and hire team members, provide proper training for team members, and anticipate and identify problems and initiate appropriate corrective action.
  • Quality, Service, and Cleanliness: Ensure continual improvement of Quality, Service, and Cleanliness.

Requirements:

  • Leadership and Management Experience: Proven track record and experience in guest / customer service, employee management, business and financial management, and people motivation.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communicator—both in writing and verbally.
  • Education and Certifications: High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor's degree in business or related field preferred.
