  • External Counsel Management: Select, manage, evaluate, and steer external antitrust counsel.
  • Project Review and Participation: Participate in regular legal and business meetings to review and stay apprised of pending and upcoming projects with antitrust relevance.
  • Legal Landscape Tracking: Understand the legal landscape of antitrust and track and report on changes and trends.
Requirements
  • Education: Juris Doctorate Degree with a license to practice law in the United States.
  • Experience: 7+ years of professional working experience and 3 years of substantive employment experience with a corporate legal department or a law firm.
  • Antitrust Experience: 2+ years of practical experience with antitrust matters, including horizontal and vertical aspects, market dominance, cartel litigation, antitrust investigations, and training in antitrust matters.
  • Communication Skills: Good oral and written communication skills, with the ability to write clearly and prepare professional communications.
  • Negotiation Skills: Strong negotiation skills, with the ability to negotiate contracts and agreements.
  • Intercultural Competence: Strong intercultural competence, with the ability to work in an international environment.
  • Language Skills: Strong English language skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders.
  • Legal Knowledge: Demonstrated excellent legal knowledge in antitrust matters, with sound knowledge in related legal matters such as M&A, IP, and commercial law.
  • Business Acumen: Deep understanding of the business, products, and markets of an automotive supplier, with sound strategic thinking and outstanding organizational and analytical skills.
  • IT Skills: Knowledge of information technology and data management systems, including Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Team Player: Strong team player with the ability to work in an international environment and willingness to travel.
