RAYUS Radiology, previously known as Center for Diagnostic Imaging, is seeking a Float Front Office Associate to become an integral part of our organization. In this role, you will serve as the initial point of contact for patients and referring professionals, managing phone inquiries, warmly welcoming and registering patients, scheduling procedures, and facilitating communication between medical technologists and patients awaiting examinations. You will contribute to a team that delivers a comprehensive array of screening, diagnostic, and interventional services with compassion and integrity, ensuring optimal quality, accessibility, service, and value for our patients and referring partners.

Key Responsibilities:

(65%) Patient Registration
  • Welcomes and checks in patients scheduled for imaging services; collects demographic information and processes payments.
  • Handles phone calls efficiently and courteously.
  • Directs calls appropriately to center staff.
  • Acts as a liaison between technologists and patients awaiting exams, conveying messages regarding scanner status and other clinic updates.
  • Follows up on any unread exams.
  • Maintains the front office lobby by organizing magazines, coffee supplies, and assisting with general cleanliness.
  • Orders office supplies as necessary.
  • Ensures a supply of patient information sheets is available.
  • Facilitates imaging through electronic interfaces.
  • Conducts confirmation calls and provides preparation instructions to patients.
  • Faxes reports, billing information, and medical release forms as requested.
(25%) Scheduling and Insurance Coordination
  • Schedules patients and enters orders accurately.
  • Keeps an up-to-date database of current and potential referring physicians.
  • Maintains accurate patient records within the radiology information system (RIS).
  • Assists in arranging interpreter services, transportation, and accommodations for patients when necessary.
  • Maintains an accurate pending-scheduling list.
  • Verifies all exams for pre-certification with the patient's insurance provider.
  • Handles release of information requests for patients, referring offices, and other medical entities following company protocols.
  • Utilizes knowledge of insurance carriers and procedures requiring waivers to obtain necessary authorizations prior to appointments.
(10%) Additional Duties as Assigned

Qualifications

Required:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • 1-2 years of customer service experience.
  • Proficient in computer systems and typing.
  • Valid driver's license and proof of current insurance.
Preferred:
  • 1-2 years of experience in a medical front office setting.
  • Familiarity with medical terminology and office operations.
  • Bilingual capabilities.
