CT Scan Technologist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled CT Scan Technologist to join our team at Cynet Health. As a CT Scan Technologist, you will be responsible for performing complex CT procedures and assisting with interventional and therapeutic procedures.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform CT procedures and assist with interventional and therapeutic procedures.
  • Review and document patient clinical history for procedures and scan into PACS.
  • Prepare, screen, and verify contrast questionnaires with patients or family members.
  • Administer contrast media for CT exams as prescribed by a licensed practitioner.
  • Verify exam appropriateness and clarify prescriptions with Radiologists or Referring Physicians.
  • Handle insurance verification and ensure proper documentation for exam scripts.
  • Schedule and obtain outside studies for comparison by Radiologists.
  • Provide copies of exam results to patients and requesting medical personnel.
  • Evaluate radiographs for diagnostic value using the PACS System.
  • Prepare scanning protocols and ensure patient safety based on individual needs.
  • Prep patients for scanning, determine appropriate contrast type/dose, and provide patient instructions.
  • Perform venipuncture, IV patency, and maintenance procedures according to guidelines.
  • Monitor patient physical condition for adverse reactions during the procedure.
  • Adhere to scheduling requirements, including holiday and weekend shifts.
  • Comply with departmental policies and standards of behavior, attendance, and punctuality.
  • Assist with lifting, pushing, and standing as required to deliver patient care.
  • Communicate effectively with patients and caregivers, considering cultural and developmental needs.
Requirements:
  • Six months of CT experience preferred.
  • NJ DEP Diagnostic Radiography License, ARRT Certified R.T.(R).
  • American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification.
  • ARRT (CT) certification within twelve months of hire.
Working Conditions:

This position requires floating between multiple care centers after team member returns from leave. The primary site may change, and additional responsibilities such as X-ray duties may be required.
