Job Title: CT Scan Technologist

We are seeking a skilled CT Scan Technologist to join our team at Cynet Health. As a CT Scan Technologist, you will be responsible for performing complex CT procedures and related techniques to produce sectional and three-dimensional images for interpretation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform CT procedures and related techniques to produce high-quality images for interpretation.
  • Use professional judgment when reviewing and obtaining a patient's clinical history.
  • Prepare, screen, and review the accuracy of the contrast questionnaire with the patient or family member.
  • Identify and administer contrast media for CT exams as prescribed.
  • Review patient prescriptions to verify the appropriateness of exams, communicating with Radiologists and Referring Physicians if needed.
  • Verify insurance authorization for exams and handle finance communications for insurance re-verification.
  • Obtain and schedule outside studies for comparison by Radiologists.
  • Provide exam copies to patients and requesting physicians.
  • Evaluate radiographs using PACS System to ensure proper identification and diagnostic value.
  • Use appropriate techniques to prepare protocols for scanning and ensure patient safety.
  • Determine appropriate type and dose of contrast for administration.
  • Provide patients with accurate explanations and instructions.
  • Address and document patient questions and concerns regarding the procedure.
  • Perform venipuncture and intravenous maintenance procedures according to guidelines.
  • Monitor the patient's physical condition for adverse reactions during procedures.
  • Adhere to policies regarding behavior, attendance, and punctuality.
  • Lift a minimum of 25 lbs., push and pull a minimum of 50 lbs. and stand a minimum of 6 hours a day.
  • Identify and modify care for patient needs specific to age, culture, language, and impairments.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, parents, and primary caregivers at their level.
Requirements:
  • Six months CT experience preferred.
  • NJ DEP Diagnostic Radiography License.
  • ARRT Certified R.T.(R) license required.
  • American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification.
  • Knowledge of anatomy and physiology and radiological positioning.
  • Understanding of CT software and hardware.
  • Thorough knowledge of PACS system.
  • Ability to maintain CEU credits.
  • Team members must achieve ARRT (CT) certification within twelve months of hire.
