Key Responsibilities- Perform diagnostics, repairs, and modifications of shop equipment and support structures.
- Set up, install, adjust, and maintain production equipment, including conveyors, automation, pneumatics, hydraulics, pumps, encoders, and variable frequency drives.
- Perform routine, productive, and preventative maintenance on equipment and determine the type of maintenance required.
- Identify complex problems and review related information to develop and evaluate options for finding solutions.
- Monitor gauges, dials, and other indicators to ensure equipment is operating properly.
- Perform high and low voltage electrical troubleshooting.
- Troubleshoot PLCs, observe mechanical devices in operation, and listen to their sounds to locate causes of trouble.
- Perform welding, fabrication, and other tasks as required.
- Work overtime, weekends, and changing shifts as needed, with regular and punctual attendance required.
- Work independently and follow directions, with the ability to work in time-sensitive and sometimes stressful situations.
- Be organized, thorough, reliable, and dependable, with a high level of attention to detail.
- Adhere to all company safety and QA/QC programs and OSHA regulations.
- Minimum two years' experience in industrial machine maintenance, preferably in a manufacturing setting.
- Able to read electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and machine breakdowns.
- Familiar with control operations of equipment systems and experience with gas, diesel, pneumatics, and hydraulic equipment.
- Lift, push, and pull in excess of 50 pounds frequently.
- Lift own weight while climbing ladders, steel bracing, stairs, etc.
- Crawl in small or tight places.
- Bend, stoop, and carry.
- Handle exposure to temperature fluctuations, dust, noise, and high voltage electromagnetic fields.
