We are seeking a highly skilled Critical Care Nurse Practitioner to join our team at Prisma Health. As a key member of our Pulmonology department, you will work closely with Intensivists to provide exceptional care to critically ill patients.
Key Responsibilities- Assess patients and develop comprehensive care plans in collaboration with physicians and other clinical personnel.
- Perform critical care procedures, including intubation, arterial line/central line insertion, and therapeutic bronchoscopy.
- Order laboratory tests, x-rays, and diagnostic procedures as needed.
- Write prescriptions and orders under jointly developed protocols and practice guidelines.
- Manage patient care, provide consultation to colleagues, and participate in rounds and documentation.
- Evaluate the quality of care provided and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Master's Degree in Nursing or Nurse Practitioner Degree Emphasis.
- 3 years of experience in critical care, with some NP experience preferred.
- NURSE PRACTITIONER - NLNP certification and South Carolina Official Recognition Nurse Practitioner.
- Prescriptive Authority South Carolina Nursing License and South Carolina Controlled Substance license.
