Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Critical Care Nurse Practitioner to join our team at Prisma Health. As a key member of our critical care team, you will work closely with intensivists to provide exceptional patient care and support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess patients and develop individualized care plans in collaboration with physicians and other healthcare professionals.
  • Perform critical care procedures, including intubation, arterial line/central line insertion, chest tube placement, and therapeutic bronchoscopy.
  • Order laboratory tests, x-rays, EKGs, and diagnostic procedures as needed.
  • Write prescriptions and orders under jointly developed protocols and practice guidelines.
  • Manage patient care in collaboration with physicians and other clinical personnel.
  • Document patient history, physical exam, and plans of care in a clear and concise manner.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Nursing or Nurse Practitioner degree emphasis.
  • 3 years of experience in critical care, with some NP experience preferred.
  • Current certifications as a Nurse Practitioner (NLNP) and South Carolina Official Recognition Nurse Practitioner.
  • Prescriptive authority and South Carolina Controlled Substance license.
