- Advance the customer experience in Surgical Services, focusing on quality patient care.
- Coach subordinates through feedback, constructive critique, and individual development plans, documenting job performance.
- Adhere to all Human Resource policies, ensuring compliance and best practices.
- Effectively communicate departmental, organizational, and industry information to staff, facilitating evidence-based employee engagement practices.
- Build strong relationships and networks to deliver upon organizational and departmental goals, participating in employee and patient rounding.
- Enforce standards of care for surgical services, developing processes to measure and ensure consistent compliance.
- Develop, implement, and evaluate an ongoing surgical services program, ensuring quality patient care consistent with the Hospital mission.
- Bachelor's degree in nursing required.
- Recent Surgical Services/OR Manager experience in an acute care setting.
- Master's degree in Nursing, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or a related field preferred.
- 3+ years of experience in a leadership role-SURGICAL SERVICES/OR REQUIRED.
- Currently licensed as a registered professional nurse in the state in which he or she practices, in accordance with law and regulation required.
- Certified Nursing Operating Room (CNOR) preferred.
This is a permanent role with a focus on surgical volume growth. The Director will be responsible for leading a team of 58 FTEs, including clinical nurse coordinators and supervisors for each surgical department. The role involves managing 7 ORs, including a cysto room, and overseeing 2200 cases in 2023 for surgical services, including 2000 endo cases.
The Director will be focused on advancing the customer experience, enforcing standards of care, and developing processes to measure and ensure consistent compliance. This role requires strong leadership skills, effective communication, and a focus on quality patient care.
