This is an exciting opportunity for a highly skilled Principal Mechanical Engineer to join our multidisciplinary consultancy's MEP team in Winchester. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing your own project work, undertaking design from concept through to detailed design, and delivering excellent levels of client service.
Key Responsibilities- Manage and deliver mechanical building services design projects from concept to completion.
- Supervise and monitor the work of junior engineers, providing guidance and support as needed.
- Use specialist computer-aided design (CAD) and BIM (Revit) software to design and deliver mechanical systems.
- Undertake mechanical design calculations using industry-standard software packages.
- Produce reports, drawings, and specifications to suit RIBA design stages.
- Liaise closely with other professionals, including structural engineers, architects, surveyors, and contractors.
- Attend project group and technical meetings to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
- Carry out construction stage monitoring duties, including technical reviews and site-based inspections.
