Job Title: Continuous Improvement Manager

Thermon is seeking a highly skilled Continuous Improvement Manager to lead the development and execution of a culture of continuous improvement across our operations. This role will be responsible for driving strategic initiatives and mentoring teams to deliver continuous improvement in support of Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Productivity performance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and deploy continuous improvement methodologies, including lean business and manufacturing methods, advanced problem-solving techniques, and visual workplace management.
  • Lead strategic initiatives to drive operational and business system improvements, and track progress towards goals.
  • Develop a long-term strategy through the creation of a continuous improvement pipeline of kaizen activities, and provide technical and business support for initiative deployment.
  • Identify gaps in performance against Best-in-Class Benchmarks, lead improvement initiatives to close gaps, and act as a change agent to instill a Lean culture throughout the organization.
  • Influence the Value Stream to support and demonstrate expected behaviors, and successfully deploy and sustain the Lean Production System.
  • Execute process improvement efforts through Kaizen activities, Value Stream Mapping, Process Control, and SMED projects to positively impact customer and business metrics.
  • Implement pull systems and/or material flow between manufacturing processes, distribution, and Supply Chain, ensuring sustainability and improvement to inventory turns.
  • Regularly engage with all areas of the business, share best practices, and benchmark with other businesses across the organization.
  • Support new product introduction projects through product management and new process implementation techniques, such as 3P implementation.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or a similar technical discipline.
  • 5 to 10+ years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Demonstrated experience in leading a lean transformation process, such as Shingo or Model Site.

  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to apply mathematical concepts and tools, such as trend charts, Pareto's, and Standard Deviation.
  • Financial understanding, with the ability to analyze and characterize results in terms of financial benefit.
