About the Role

MUSC Community Physicians is seeking a highly skilled Vascular Sonographer to join our team in Columbia, SC.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for performing daily routine and diagnostic procedures as ordered by physicians. This includes consistently producing high-quality vascular scans of patients and demonstrating knowledge and proficiency in Vascular Sonography exams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform 2D scans, Duplex imaging, Ankle-Brachial Index (ABI), and Doppler studies
  • Measure and calculate according to protocol
  • Provide written or oral summary of preliminary findings and report abnormal findings to the interpreting Radiologist
  • Apply patient care and recognize patient conditions essential for procedure completion
Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must have:

  • A High School Diploma or GED
  • Minimum two years of experience as a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer
  • Possession of RVT (ARDMS), RVS (CCI), or RT(VS) (ARRT) certification
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through American Heart Association (AHA)
Salary and Benefits

The estimated annual salary for this position is $83,000 - $110,000, depending on experience. MUSC offers a comprehensive benefits package, including health, dental, vision, and life insurance, employer-sponsored retirement plan, paid time off, and extended sick leave.
