  • Monitor and Assess Progress

Regularly monitor and assess student progress, adjusting teaching strategies as needed to ensure that students are meeting their educational goals.

  • Manage Classroom Environment

Create a positive, inclusive learning environment that promotes social, emotional, and academic growth among students.

  • Communicate with Parents

Communicate regularly with parents/guardians about student progress, ensuring that they are informed and involved in their child's educational journey.

Requirements
  • Education and Certification

A Bachelor's degree in Special Education or a related field is required. A Master's degree in Special Education is preferred. Valid state certification in Special Education is also required.

  • Certifications and Training

Additional certifications in specific areas of special education (e.g., autism, emotional disturbance) are a plus. CPR and First Aid certification is also preferred.
