About the Role

Chestnut Hills - Squirrel Hill is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Dental Assistant to join our team. As a key member of our dental support team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and contributing to the success of our practice.

Key Responsibilities
  • Greet and welcome patients, ensuring a positive and comfortable experience throughout their dental journey.
  • Conduct thorough reviews of patient health histories to provide quality care and ensure accurate treatment planning.
  • Take and process x-rays and other diagnostic assessments using state-of-the-art technology.
  • Provide superior chairside assistance to supported dentists during a wide range of procedures, adhering to the state dental practice act.
  • Utilize Dentrix for patient scheduling and record keeping, ensuring seamless communication and coordination.
  • Prepare treatment rooms with strict adherence to safety protocols and OSHA & CDC recommendations.
  • Manage supply and inventory levels, placing and expediting orders as needed to maintain a well-stocked and efficient practice.
  • Partner with providers and team members to implement Heartland Dental systems and maximize office workflow.

Qualifications
  • Working knowledge of dental procedures and terminology.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced and customer-centric environment.
  • If required under the state dental practice act, dental assistant certification and/or x-ray certification.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
