Pharmacy Student Intern Job Description

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Student Intern to join our team at Pavilions, a division of Albertsons Companies. As a Pharmacy Student Intern, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced pharmacy environment and develop your skills in patient counseling, customer service, and pharmacy operations.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform all duties under the supervision of a registered pharmacist or designated pharmacist preceptor.
  • Take all steps required to fill prescriptions in compliance with all laws, regulations, and company policies and procedures.
  • Offer advice and consultation to customers and healthcare professionals regarding prescription knowledge, drug therapy, and health-related products and concerns.
  • Implement company initiatives to increase pharmacy profitability.
  • Actively participate in clinical services.
Requirements:
  • Must be enrolled as a full-time student in an accredited school of pharmacy.
  • Must hold a valid state intern license if required by the state of employment.
  • Ability to readily and positively adapt to changes in schedule specifications, and work priorities as the business and customer needs demand.
  • Ability to cooperate with others and work as part of a team.

The pay range is $17.50 to $20.50 per hour, but no less than the local minimum wage. Starting rates will vary based on things like location, experience, qualifications, and the terms of any applicable collective bargaining agreement.
