About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Design/Animation Intern to join our team at Compadre. As a key member of our creative team, you will play a vital role in the success of our projects, working closely with our Creative Director and collaborating with fellow designers, animators, and editors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work on both internal and client-facing projects, utilizing your skills in design and animation to bring creative ideas to life.
  • Collaborate with our team to develop innovative marketing campaigns and identities that solve clients' business and brand challenges.
  • Be able to multitask and work on multiple projects in a variety of styles, from 2D animation to 3D work.
  • Keep working files organized within our structured server folders, ensuring seamless project management.
  • Attend daily meetings with team members to sync on project needs and goals for the day.

Compadre is a creative marketing agency specializing in developing campaigns and identities that solve clients' most confounding business and brand challenges. We bring together left- and right-brain thinking, which gives us the strategy and marketing chops to research, plan, and concept like an advertising agency, and the creative pedigree to design, animate, and edit like a creative boutique.

About You

  • Current student seeking degree in motion graphics, design, animation, or related field.
  • Desire to work in studios or agencies in the motion graphics and marketing industries.
  • Able to do both design and animation, but lean more heavily into animation.
  • Strong understanding/working knowledge of the Adobe Creative Cloud Suite, particularly After Effects for 2D animation, and C4D for 3D work.
  • Core understanding of the Google Suite.
  • Appetite to take on key responsibilities in the internship role.
  • Ability to time manage and work on multiple assignments simultaneously.
  • Strong attention to detail.

Additional Position Details

  • LA-based or willing to relocate once we're back in the office.
  • Paid internship with potential for school credits.
  • We can be flexible with working hours - just let us know how many hours per week you can provide within normal business hours.
  • Selected interns must have their own remote workstations for the beginning of the internship, but we can provide software licenses as needed.
  • College graduates are still eligible for our internships within 6 months of graduating.
