Job Summary:

US Foods, Inc. is seeking a skilled Forklift Operator to join our warehouse team. As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for safely operating a forklift to transport pallets of product throughout the warehouse, ensuring accurate inventory levels and maintaining a clean and organized work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate a forklift to transport pallets of product from the dock to designated warehouse slots, ensuring all pallets are secure and properly stored.
  • Replenish pick slots with product from reserve slots to maintain optimal inventory levels.
  • Perform regular safety checks on the forklift, including battery, brakes, lift controls, and fire extinguisher.
  • Record all product, equipment, and warehouse damage.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment by removing debris from the floor and racks.
  • Follow all safety policies and procedures at all times.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Basic mathematical skills and ability to read and write legibly.
  • Ability to work in a multi-temperature environment (ranging from -5 degrees to over 100 degrees).
  • Must be able to understand Voxware commands.

Certifications/Training:

  • OSHA compliant Forklift Certification required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Prior selector experience preferred.
  • Prior forklift operator experience preferred.
