Yard Jockey Non-CDL Driver

US Foods is seeking a skilled Yard Jockey Non-CDL to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for coordinating the movement of trucks and trailers, ensuring efficient and safe operations.
Key Responsibilities- Communicate with dispatchers and routers to assign trucks and trailers
- Keep assigned equipment coupled and ready for use
- Move trailers between buildings as directed by routers or warehouse supervisors
- Load, unload, or merge loads between environments
- Stage shuttle trailers nightly for shuttle drivers
- Set up trailers for backhaul with tractor and empty pallets
- Place backhauls in correct doors to be unloaded by warehouse
- Ensure all equipment is paired and ready for next day's deliveries
- Work with mechanics nightly
- Attend all required company meetings
- Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull 20 to 80+ pounds of product repetitively during each shift
- Comfortable driving and working in inclement weather conditions
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Must have a valid driver's license issued by the state of residence
- Minimum of six months Non-CDL commercial driving experience preferred
- Ability to operate a manual transmission preferred; may be required in specific locations
- Must be able to pass a DOT physical
- Must be able to read and communicate in the English language
