Job Summary

As a highly skilled Laboratory Technician at TriCore Reference Laboratories, you will exercise independent judgment in the performance of waived and moderate complexity laboratory tests, equipment maintenance, and quality control/quality assurance procedures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform all functions of a Clinical Lab Assistant II or Clinical Lab Assistant III with a high degree of proficiency, which may include phlebotomy, preparation of patient specimens, clerical duties, and special collection procedures.
  • Work with minimal supervision, demonstrating a high level of autonomy and responsibility.

Requirements

  • Minimum Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum Experience: Must meet one of the following:
    • At least four (4) years directly relevant experience with at least one (1) of the following: Clinical Lab Assistant III, Technical Lab Assistant III, or Laboratory Specimen Technician III at TriCore.
    • Associate's degree with coursework in biological and chemical sciences and at least two (2) years of relevant experience.
    • Four (4) years combined relevant experience and education with at least one (1) year of relevant experience.
    • Bachelor's degree with coursework in biological and chemical sciences.
  • Other Requirements:
    • Depending on location, may require a grade of average on the alphanumeric typing test (4,000 – 5,999 key strokes).
  • Preferrable Qualifications:
    • Completion of a relevant Clinical Lab Assistant or comparable program.
