Position Overview

Montefiore Medical Center is on the lookout for a dedicated Special Procedure Technician to join our esteemed team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and interventions related to sleep studies.
  • Ensure patient comfort and safety during the procedure.
  • Monitor and document patient responses throughout the testing process.
  • Supervise and mentor junior staff members in the lab.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot equipment to ensure optimal performance.
Qualifications

Licensure/Certification: Candidates must possess certification from the Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists as a registered Polysomnographic Technologist, along with a valid New York State license to practice as a sleep technician. A successful completion of an accredited educational program focusing on polysomnography is required.

Experience: A minimum of three years of relevant experience is essential, along with an Associate's Degree.

Work Schedule

This position requires availability for evening shifts, specifically on Wednesday, Thursday, and Sunday evenings.
