Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled MRI Technologist to join our team at Trinity Health. As a Diagnostic Imaging Specialist, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic MRI scans in accordance with departmental standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Obtain and record a complete clinical history pertinent to the examination requested.
  • Evaluate requests for appropriateness and refer concerns to the coordinator and/or radiologist.
  • Instruct patients as to the nature of the exam being performed.
  • Effectively communicate with patients throughout the exam being performed.
  • Follow established scan protocols or radiologist's special instructions.
  • Demonstrate appropriate use of equipment and accessories.
  • Select appropriate technical factors for the requested imaging exam.
  • Assist in the instruction of student technologists and new personnel.
  • Demonstrate accurate positioning and ensure patient comfort.
  • Demonstrate proper screening procedures for contraindications to MRI examination.
  • Ensure proper magnetic field safety at all times.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of all MRI emergency procedures.
  • Provide proper hearing protection to all patients and visitors.
  • Effectively complete all required documentation related to patient care, imaging procedures, and RIS requirements.
  • Document and report all incidents, radiation safety concerns, and equipment malfunctions to the coordinator in a timely fashion.

Requirements:

  • AAS Degree in Radiologic Technology.
  • 1 year CT and/or MRI experience.
  • Current ARRT registration and NYS license required.

Pay Range: $51.10 per hour. Pay is based on experience, skills, and education.
