Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Therapeutic Apheresis Nurse to join our team at Ochsner Health. As a leader in patient care, you will utilize the nursing process to deliver high-quality care to our patients. This role requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to effectively delegate and manage nursing team resources.

Responsibilities
  • Assess patient needs and develop individualized care plans
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams
  • Delegate and manage nursing team resources to ensure optimal patient outcomes
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and safety
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in nursing
  • Current RN license in state of practice
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association
  • Preferred: Certification in clinical specialty area
Work Environment

This role requires working in a fast-paced patient care environment, with frequent exposure to blood, body fluids, and tissue. The incumbent must be able to lift up to 20 pounds and stand for long periods.
