Job Overview: The Lead Manufacturing Engineer will oversee engineering operations related to manufacturing processes, focusing on both corrective and preventative measures to address production discrepancies. This role involves extensive collaboration with engineering, quality assurance, product management, and service teams, as well as providing training to manufacturing staff.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Diagnose and resolve manufacturing challenges promptly; implement effective corrective and preventative strategies.
2. Advocate for a LEAN culture, driving continuous improvement initiatives and facilitating cross-functional CI events to ensure sustainable enhancements.
3. Develop and maintain comprehensive manufacturing documentation, including job element sheets, testing protocols, work instructions, and master process documents.
4. Design and optimize manufacturing fixtures as necessary.
5. Formulate process and testing protocols for both automated and manual operations.
6. Establish and manage routings, oversee BOM changes, and maintain BOM configuration timelines.
7. Lead cost reduction initiatives aligned with Value Engineering goals.
8. Conduct validation testing for new products and modifications to existing offerings.
9. Act as the primary representative for manufacturing engineering in design and stage gate review meetings throughout the new product development lifecycle.
10. Serve as the main liaison with design engineering regarding new products and engineering challenges.
11. Ensure that engineering modifications are validated and effectively implemented in the manufacturing process.
12. Author essential documentation required for the stage gate new product process.
13. Uphold compliance with all company policies and procedures within the department.
14. Provide leadership, training, and mentorship to team members.
15. Perform additional duties as required.

Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline (Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical, or similar).

Experience:
7+ years of relevant experience in a discrete manufacturing environment, with a strong background in troubleshooting electro-mechanical systems to sub-assembly level and/or electronic instruments and systems. Preferred experience in X-Ray systems, FT-IR, Gas Chromatography, or Mass Spectroscopy technologies. Proficiency in technical writing, including quality procedures and assembly instructions.

Skills:
Excellent verbal and written communication abilities. Advanced proficiency in computer applications, including Excel, Microsoft Word, and Outlook; familiarity with CAD systems; SAP or equivalent preferred. Capability to interpret and create schematics and mechanical drawings. Strong understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles.
