Protecting ears and hearing is a critical aspect of our daily lives, especially for individuals in high-risk professions like the military. As an Air Force Audiologist, you will play a vital role in safeguarding the hearing and balance of Airmen and their families.
Key Responsibilities:- Utilize advanced equipment and techniques to diagnose and treat hearing and balance-related issues.
- Provide comprehensive care to Airmen and their families, ensuring their hearing health is protected and maintained.
- Collaborate with other medical professionals to develop and implement effective hearing conservation strategies.
- Hold a doctoral degree in audiology (AuD or PhD) from an accredited institution.
- Be certified by the American Speech-Language and Hearing Association (ASHA) or the American Board of Audiology (ABA).
- Have a minimum of 24 months of experience in audiology.
- Hold a current unrestricted state license.
- Complete Officer Training School course.
