About the role

At Four Seasons Residence Club Aviara, the Bartender is responsible for delivering prompt and efficient beverage service to hotel guests and servers, possessing comprehensive knowledge of all bar offerings.

The Bartender is tasked with creating innovative drink recipes, maintaining a diverse beverage menu, and ensuring consistency in drink preparation.

Key Responsibilities

• Possess thorough knowledge of menu items and their ingredients.

• Greet guests warmly and courteously, maintaining eye contact and a welcoming demeanor.

• Engage with guests to ascertain their beverage preferences, provide recommendations, and accurately take and confirm orders, noting any special requests.

• Assist Food and Beverage Management in planning beverage menus, including cocktails, wines, craft beers, and non-alcoholic options, while contributing to the development of new cocktail recipes and specials.

• Prepare and mix ingredients, garnish drinks, and serve beverages as ordered.

• Manage cash handling and maintain an accurate bank float for the Residence Club.

• Order, verify, and stock liquor, wine, beer, juices, soft drinks, and food items for the bar area.

• Conduct bar inventory in collaboration with the Food and Beverage Manager and other relevant staff.

• Prepare fruit and garnishes for beverages on a daily basis.

• Ensure timely and accurate processing of all Micros payments while safeguarding guest confidentiality.

• Organize closing paperwork, sorting checks by payment types and transaction dates, and promptly report any lost checks.

• Maintain cleanliness in the bar area, including sanitizing surfaces and equipment.

• Practice responsible alcohol service in accordance with local laws and address any disruptive behavior from guests.

• Respond appropriately to any emergency or safety situations within the Residence Club.

• Perform additional tasks as assigned by Residence Club management.

Qualifications

• Proficient in reading, writing, and speaking English.

• 1-2 years of bartending or related food and beverage service experience.

• Strong knowledge of wines, spirits, and mixed drinks.

• CPR certification.

• San Diego County Food Handlers card.
