About the Position

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Relief Veterinarian to join our team at the Louisiana SPCA Community Clinic. As a member of our clinic, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality, high-volume spay/neuter services as well as preventative and essential veterinary care to the public.

Responsibilities
  • Provide 'best in class' preventive and essential medical care, including examinations, diagnostics, treatments, minor surgery, and basic dentistry.
  • Oversee all aspects of veterinary care at a high-volume outpatient clinic.
  • Collaborate with other veterinarians to assist with physical examinations, diagnostics, treatments, and recommendations for care.
  • Manage multiple demands and tasks, performing and overseeing surgical procedures amenable to being performed on an outpatient basis.
Requirements
  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from an accredited university and current Louisiana Veterinary License.
  • Current DEA and Board of Pharmacy licenses.
  • 2 years of experience in general small animal practice or shelter medicine preferred.
Estimated Salary: $72,500 - $85,000 per year
