Job Overview

The Schwarzman Animal Medical Center is a leading veterinary teaching hospital, renowned for its commitment to excellence and innovation in animal care. We are seeking a highly skilled Veterinarian Specialist to join our Primary Care team, providing top-notch medical services to pets in the heart of New York City.

Salary Range: $180,000 - $205,000 USD per annum, commensurate with experience and qualifications.

We offer a unique hybrid of academia and clinical practice, promoting inter-department consults and a non-competitive atmosphere that fosters education and excellent patient care. As a member of our team, you will be part of a multidisciplinary group of 140+ veterinarians across 20+ specialties, working together to deliver the highest quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide general medical services to healthy and sick pets, including vaccinations, diagnostic workups, and management of common maladies.
  • Perform spay/neuter procedures and prepare international health certificates.
  • Interact and refer to other specialty services at the AMC for advanced and specialty care.

Requirements:

  • DVM degree or equivalent.
  • New York State license or eligibility required.
  • Internship training or equivalent 5 years' work experience in General Practice required.
