Job Summary

The Tuxedo Club is seeking experienced and customer service-driven Servers/Waitstaff to deliver exceptional member experiences as part of a fun team. As a Server, you will be responsible for providing top-notch service to our members and guests, ensuring a memorable dining experience.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Take food and drink orders from tables in your assigned section, ensuring prompt and accurate service.
  • Assist housemen and runners in setting up buffets and food stations, as well as ceremonies and various other dinners and events.
  • Conduct wine and coffee service in proper fashion, showcasing your knowledge and expertise.
  • Direct backwaiters to aid in proper service, ensuring seamless execution.
  • Greet Members and Guests with a friendly and courteous demeanor, bringing hospitality to every interaction.
  • Read, understand, and execute Event Orders, adhering to our high standards.
  • Follow checklists and Standard Operating Procedures, maintaining a high level of quality and consistency.
  • Perform opening, mid-shift, and closing duties, complying with Tuxedo Club's Events' operational standards.
  • Adhere to company uniform and grooming standards at all times, presenting a professional image.
  • Comply with all NYS Health and Safety codes with regards to Food and Beverage, ensuring a safe and healthy environment.
  • Perform any related duties as requested by the supervisor/manager, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.
  • Assist other departmental staff members when needed, fostering a collaborative and supportive team environment.
Qualifications
  • 1 year experience as a server/waitstaff, with a proven track record of delivering exceptional service.
  • Knowledge of POS systems (JONAS) preferred, but not required.
  • Basic knowledge of DOH regulations, ensuring compliance and adherence.
  • Team player with a positive attitude and excellent communication skills, with attention to detail and a passion for delivering exceptional member experiences.
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time, with a high level of energy and enthusiasm.
  • Energetic and professional, with a commitment to excellence and a passion for exceeding member expectations.

Working Conditions

As a Server, you may be in a full-time or part-time hourly position, with the flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and/or holidays. Physical Requirements
  • May need to work in wet or humid conditions, near moving parts, near fumes or airborne particles, in extreme non-weather heat, and in extreme non-weather cold.
  • Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, bend, lift, use hands and fingers, reach with hands and arms, talk and/or hear.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close, distance, color, peripheral vision, and depth perception.
  • Employees must be able to lift a minimum of 50lbs multiple times per day, and push a cart weighing up to 100lbs.
  • Expect to be on their feet for up to 6 hours at a time.
  • Must practice proper body mechanics and use appropriate personal protective equipment to avoid injury.
