Arlington Independent School District is seeking a dedicated and supportive education assistant to join our team.

Salary:

We offer a competitive salary of $42,000 - $60,000 per year, depending on experience.

About the Job

This role involves assisting in the implementation of the instructional program for students with special needs in a junior high setting. The successful candidate will work closely with teachers and other support staff to ensure students receive the best possible education.

The key responsibilities include:

  • Assisting teachers with classroom instruction and management activities, including one-to-one and small group instruction, classroom organization, transitions, routines, behavior shaping, communication, and assistive technology.
  • Providing academic, behavioral, and functional support to students with special needs.
  • Supporting students with health-related services and needs, such as feeding, toileting, hygiene, or other health-related requirements.

Requirements and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent from an accredited institution.
  • School-based experience is preferred, but not essential.
  • A valid driver's license is also preferred.
