Job Title: Pediatric Neurologist

We are seeking a highly skilled Pediatric Neurologist to join our team at the University of North Carolina School of Medicine. As a member of our academic practice in Wilmington, NC, you will have the opportunity to work with a diverse patient population and contribute to the growth and development of our pediatric neurology program.

About the Position

This is a full-time, open rank clinical faculty position on the fixed term track with the option of part-time focusing on reading EEG studies, supervising APPs in outpatient clinic, and performing outpatient sleep clinics. The ideal candidate will have expertise in interpreting EEGs, managing high prevalence neurologic conditions in childhood, and a willingness to manage rare and complex conditions with the support of the UNC Children's Hospital in Chapel Hill.

Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical care to children with neurologic disorders
  • Develop and perform clinical activities in surrounding outreach locations in Southeastern NC
  • Supervise APPs in outpatient clinic and perform outpatient sleep clinics
  • Contribute to the growth and development of our pediatric neurology program
Requirements

The ideal candidate will have:

  • M.D. degree
  • Board certification/eligibility in Neurology with special qualification in Child Neurology
  • Additional training in either sleep medicine or epilepsy
  • Expertise interpreting EEGs
  • Expertise in management of high prevalence neurologic conditions in childhood
