Job Title: Registered Dental Assistant

Vista Community Clinic is a private, non-profit, multi-specialty outpatient clinic providing high-quality care in a comprehensive setting. We are seeking a dedicated and motivated Registered Dental Assistant to join our team.

Job Summary

The Registered Dental Assistant will provide chairside support to our dentists, preparing patients for service delivery and assisting with a wide range of patient care activities. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities
  • Assist chairside in the concept of four-handed dentistry, including impressions, topical agents, and nitrous oxide administration.
  • Maintain a smooth flow of patients, coordinating activities and utilizing time and resources effectively.
  • Operate x-ray equipment, process images, and arrange them in a suitable format.
Requirements
  • High school graduate or equivalent with post-high school vocational/specialized training.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish.
  • Certification of completion of the Registered Dental Assistant Exam.
  • Coronal Polishing Certificate.
  • Radiation Safety Certificate.
  • Current CPR Certification.
  • Operational experience with x-ray machines, sterilizing equipment, ultrasonic equipment, laboratory equipment, and other dental practice-related equipment.
  • Minimum two years' experience working as a registered dental assistant in a high-volume dental practice.
  • Availability and willingness to work evening and/or weekend hours when requested.
Preferred Skills
  • Knowledge of professional dental duties and health care delivery systems.
  • Proven ability to put patients at ease and provide clear, understandable directions.
  • Experience with computers, Microsoft Office products, and business email communication systems.
Compensation

$22-$27/hour

4.25 hours/week (Saturday 8:45am to 1pm)
