- Financial Management: Prepare and review financial statements and store reports, and manage inventory and cash assets effectively.
- Store Operations: Ensure adequate availability of merchandise, maintain company vehicles, and provide a safe and clean environment for customers and associates.
- Human Resources: Recruit, hire, train, and develop associates to ensure efficient operations, and manage employee performance and discipline.
- Marketing and Sales: Implement sales and marketing programs, and meet sales and revenue goals through effective marketing and growth plans.
- Education and Experience: Any combination of education and experience providing the necessary skills and knowledge, typically equivalent to an Associate or Bachelor's degree with coursework in business, accounting, marketing, or management, and two years' experience in retail or other business emphasizing customer service, account management, or merchandising.
- Skills and Abilities: Effective organizational skills, established selling skills, good communication skills, ability to handle multiple priorities simultaneously, and proficiency in POS systems.
The General Manager will work in a fast-paced retail environment, requiring prolonged driving and standing, and the ability to traverse multiple flights of stairs while carrying furniture, appliances, and electronics. The position also requires working in and outdoors in a variety of climates and weather conditions.
